SwissBlot supported by the ETH Pioneer Fellowship


We are pleased to announce that SwissBlot was awarded for the ETH Pioneer Fellowship, a programm funded by the ETH Zürich foundation and the Hasler Foundation. This grant will allow the team to develop further the innovation in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment at ETH Hönggerberg. More info about the Pioneer Fellowship

SwissBlot – Dr. Florian Rosenthal joins the team

VentureKick stage I – SwissBlot integrated in the VentureKick program


Yesterday the SwissBlot team convinced the jury and the project was accepted for the renowned VentureKick competition. This program offers an initial investment (CHF 10'000.) to grow ambitious business ideas together with intensive training camps. The team is very excited to benefit from this program over the next 3 months. More info

Prix de Jeune Entrepreneur Finals in Bern – SwissBlot is the 2nd best startup project in Switzerland


At the Finals of the Prix du Jeune Entrepreneur (PJE), the SwissBlot project was exposed to an interdisciplinary jury in competition with outstanding business ideas emerging from the best universities in Switzerland (EPFL, HSG, EHL, ETH). Thanks to our innovative approach and excellent teamwork we were awarded the second prize of this competition. We would like to thank the PJE for the seed funding and the French ambassador for treating us with exquisite cuisine following the official ceremony. More info

Prix du jeune entrepreneur ETH competition – SwissBlot was selected to represent ETH in the startup competition, Zürich


SwissBlot decided to challenge the vision of a fully automated Western Blot device beyond the borders of academia. We enrolled in the Prix du Jeune Entrepreneur (PJE), which is a prize granted by the French embassy and French industry partners to the best young entrepreneur in Switzerland. After a convincing pitch, our project was selected to represent ETH Zürich at the PJE finals in Bern in June 2014.

Venture Challenge – SwissBlot successfully participated as a Case Study

SwissBlot just presented the latest achievements at the final presentation of the Venture Challenge Course. Three months ago the project idea was born through the incubation of Dr. Buser’s vision. which convinced the audience and was selected as a case study for 13 weeks of challenge. This fast-track process allowed maturation and acquisition of a solid team, including Ms. Hovestadt becoming CTO and co-founder. We strongly benefitted from this challenge, which provided the environment to grow from a seed vision to a solid startup project.
